Youth League Cricket
The Wiltshire Youth Cricket League is a member of Wiltshire Cricket Limited and provides the main youth league structure for clubs with junior sections across the county. The Wiltshire Youth League is an excellently run league for following age groups:
- Boys Under 9s (festivals only)
- Boys Under 11s (20 over Cricket)
- Boys Under 11s Pairs Cricket
- Boys Under 13s (35 over Cricket)
- Boys Under 13 (20 over Cricket)
- Boys Under 15s (45 over Cricket)
- Boys Under 15s (20 over Cricket)
- ECB Natwest Under 19 T20 competition
The AB Sports Cricket Club works closely with Wiltshire Youth League and Wiltshire Cricket Limited to ensure that its fixture programme dovetails with the Wiltshire Cricket district fixtures and also to ensure that the cricket provided to young and budding cricketers is of a high standard. One of the key successes of the Wiltshire Youth League has been in offering the longer format of the game for under 13 and 15, where other leagues just offer 20 over Cricket. This has helped prepare Wiltshire juniors for the rigors of County Cricket and has helped create a hugely successful and competitive Wiltshire Youth League.
